only the driver side fan ran when the temp was 260 with the ac on ,never did steam ,the heater has not be working very good , pleanty of coolant ,one was cold the other very hot, high fill hot ,recovery cold do you think the therastate is staying open or close
Does kinda sound like the tstat was stuck closed.
Replace it with a stock 180 or a 160.
Clean off the front of your radiator, this contributes ALOT to overheating.
what was the timp on the digi display. the digi display is what the computer sees, if it said 260 and the fan was not on then your fan may be bad. check the fuse panel next to the battery.
Ok ,when it overheats does it have a knock with enegine off? ( coolent slam)and check the radiator tanks at the ends of the radiator, are the the same temp or is one side cold and the other side hot, if they are the thermostat is stuck closed!
52000 mles everything is factory yes i have changed the t-stat and the coolant and the cap and the raditor is clean yes a/c works and yes the fans do come on with a/c and when it reaches 228 here is what it is doing with the heat on it will blow warm then cool warm cool never hot like a heater normaly would runs hot 200 t0 240 if you idle it will keep climbing do you think i have a bad pump ? with the cap off it does look like the coolant is moving bad head gasket
Right now I think I would look hard at the radiator It could be "limed up" internaly, pump sound ok if you see coolent moving with the cap off
I dont think you have a bad head gasket unless you see white smoke out of the exhaust or the engine oil is "milkey" indicating coolent inthe oil
