I have an 89 w/ Z51 package. I have a leak coming from the crimp on the hose going from my steering rack to the cooler. It's squirting out very quickly (I can actually hear it squirting) so a replacement is in order. I've circled the leaking area below in red. I can buy the hose with the red fitting already taken care of, but the part I'm worried about is the part in blue. Based on my googling it looks like the clamps in the blue circle are one-time crimp fittings. Is this something I can do myself? Or should I take it to a shop? And if so is this something any shop can do or do I need to find a place that leans more toward hydraulic work? Thanks in advance!
Since you have it out I don't think it would be to hard for a industrial hydrologic hose repair company to be able to replace the hose section and probably re-use your pipes if they are still good.
but I suspect they may still be available
