parked on slope rough idle
91 l98 auto
Parked on steep slope this morning and restarted the car to have miss, high idle (2000rpm), sys light. Once I babied the idle down to normal, I took the car on the road with misfires. Once on level ground and rolling the car evened out. Light went off and car was running back to normal.
What's the deal?
Steep oncline, was the pump not getting fuel? I have a nearly full tank.
Is pump going bad?
I can't think of what would be affected by an incline to cause misfires.

Did you check for the codes?
I’d try to replicate again and check codes with paper clip.
maybe the fuel pump had to work harder to pump uphill? how many miles? what’s the history of the pump?
