Drawing for a Superram top plate
Thanks again,
Went
instead of a print, he used my plenum.
He mounted it on the mill and indicated one long side straight. Here’s where he was lucky. He happened to own a microscope that went into a collet so he could line up edges by sight. He chose a place to start, and went along logging positions as he went to create the program. it took a couple hours.
When done, he put a piece of 1/4” aluminum plate on the mill and adjusted his cutter size to give .016”/ side clearance. It worked perfectly. Afterward I used transfer screws to locate the holes and then drill them. It was a great lid with less than .005” flatness.
That is how I made mine. I hope this helps.
