Clacking Sound due to handbrake?
I had a similar post over in General, but the more I thought about it, the more it seemed it belonged over here. HELP, is still the request of the day for me.
"...Vette ('92 Vert that has the optional hardtop on it) and I here this "Clack-clack" every second or two. I see behind the driver seat, just behind the post that helps hold the hartop in position, , a small lever that is moving, but aside from moving up, then down, it seems to serve no other purpose - so it must have something to do with my softtop, when I'm using it - but I've had the hardtop on for over a month now. The noise/action stops when I'm in motion- moreover, it seems I can get it to happen, when I touch on the hand-brake lever. Has ANYONE ever remotely heard of this or even have a good guess as to what is causing this?" :confused:
