So apparently Bilstein cannot do the Morraca valving anymore because they lost the recipe due to a facility move a few years back. They can call up any serial number shock that was modified, however so if somebody out there has that valving on their car and they can share their serial numbers that would be awesome! I don't hold out much hope because I posted something like this about a year ago with no bites.
However, if I can't get them re-valved would I be better going with replacement FX3's or something like the Ridectech HQs. BTW, this is a track only car, really, and the 30 year old FX3 originals are getting a little sketchy as they have gotten very soft over the years. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
It's the seals that wear not so much the hard parts. Of course you never know what you until it's a part om the table. AFAIK Bilstein stopped rebuilding old shocks 6-7 years ago. If can find an independent rebuider you maybe be able to get the originals serviced. Shocks is another how much are you want to spend.

Yep, for sure, it's not the hard parts. I just am wondering if for the track would I be better to go with something like the Ridetechs vs. a new set of stock FX3s.

They do still do rebuilds, but have suspended that program due to COVID-19 at present. Once they're back to normal, we'll see if that program has survived. But as of February of this year they were still doing it, at a cost of $160/shock. However do note that they will only rebuild Bilstein-branded shocks, so if your FX3 shocks are original to the car, they will not rebuild them. You would have had to have had them replaced with Bilstein-branded FX3 shocks at some point in the car's life to be eligible.
If your shocks are original to the car, there are third-parties that will rebuild them for $188/shock, such as DeltaVee.
