engine in 86 c4 anyone id the intake
Ive never seen the engine intake like this before. Its in a 86 c4 I am interested in buying. Is is a stock intake and is it any good or problematic??

 

It is a high performance short runner intake with a-massive plenum to damped intake pulses.
that intake allows your engine to achieve a higher rpm because it doesn’t limit airflow at high engine speed like the tpi runners.
it is probably worth about $500 used.
judging by the rocker covers, that is a late 86, or it has had the heads changed if it’s an early 86.
if i could see the right rocker cover i could tell you for sure based on the oil cap type.

 

That is still an LTR intake...but shortER, than stock runners.
It's worth over a grand. You can't get these for $500, from what I've seen. Not even close.

 

..... That is an aftermarket (Accel or Lingenfelter) Super Ram intake manifold … very good performer … with the right base manifold , it could be worth up to $2K by itself … don't tell the seller ! .....

 

That is a SuperRam, and it looks like it has the correct billet throttle body. If it has the correct base manifold with it you hit paydirt. Worth at least $1500 if complete. I bought one without the throttle body for $750, and I thought I stole it.

 

SuperRam, what I run. Buy the car if the price is good, its a great intake.
