Default LT1 Knock Sensor Removal

I picked up a 95 with the LT1 about 2 weeks ago with no maintenance history so I thought I'd start with fresh fluids all the way round. I'm trying to flush the cooling system because the coolant was discolored and thought it best to start over. I'm trying to do this right and want to remove the knock sensors to drain the block but all I'm getting is the nut spinning on the sensor, sensor is not coming out. I covered it with penetrating fluid and will let it sit overnight. When I try again I'll warm the engine up to see if that helps as well..won't drain but just get them loose. Is it OK to turn the sensor by grabbing the housing with channel locks? Does anyone have a secret way of getting them out? Should I change them as long as they are out? TIA for the help.

You can use a channel lock to get the old one out, but I would not reuse it.

You will want to have replacement sensor. Old one is broken. Good set of channel locks as suggested should work. Knock sensor is torque sensitive so it has to properly tightened.
