There are quite a few threads about window motors and regulators but I couldn't seem to find any with the same problem as me. I got home from college yesterday and decided to take the Vette out for a cruise. I rolled the windows down and each time I got somewhere I rolled them back up. However, when I pulled it into the garage, the passenger window wouldn't go up. The window starts to go up a bit and just stops. I took off the door panel but haven't really done anything yet. I tried slamming the door while holding the switch and hitting the inside of the door where the motor is like people have recommended on other threads but it has not solved my issue. The motor has been slow for quite a while but it seems to still be working unless it's just too weak to lift the window. It seems like it may just be off track, but I don't know how to put it back on track. Or maybe the ribbon broke. If so, how do I tell? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
James

@s carter I do not hear a buzz when the button is pushed. After the window has gone up a bit, if I let of the switch and hit it again the motor clicks and does nothing.
I try to move the window by hand but it seems held in place and I can't move it.
I'll check the power on the motor but like I said it does move the window up and down a tiny bit.
I know the driver's side doesn't because the po had it replaced but I do believe the passenger side is still original.
Something I forgot is that the window used to make an odd clunking sound when it went down but it always worked so I never cared. Is there a stop down there that could have came loose and the window is just somehow jammed?
It sounds like a good look for something jamming the track including a gear to gear problem it worth a good look at, because it sounds like you're not losing power or the motors will to work
@s carter I took everything apart as you suggested and couldn't find anything jammed. In desperation I sprayed it all down with WD-40 and said my prayers. It made a loud popping sound and now works faster than ever. I don't know what was wrong and I'll look around some more but it seems like it just got bound up. Thanks for encouraging me to dig a bit deeper as it was an easy fix. Taking out that metal panel is just a pita though.
