i also think you could step the cam up slightly, espessialy if a big tpi setup is in the works & i hope it is. $1500 heads will be sweet and all but a bone stock tpi will really limit them. the cam in my sig was actually designed for a ported to hell and back siamesed TPI setup, but i sold it at the last minute when i was offered a miniram for the same money complete. i have no idea why i'm typing this as you already own the cam  anyway the heads will definatly increase potential flow should you choose to upgrade your manifold or use a really worked TPI setup. long tube headers are a must with this engine if your after every last horsepower as well. the only other suggestion i have is the price of the pro action 180 casting. what it flows out of the box is pretty similar to a worked L98 casting, the pro action actually outflows the intake a couple cfm from what i've been reading as well. in all honesty it's hard to tell without both heads on the bench. the point i was trying to make is this, you could do some work & build a really nice aftermarket head for what CNC charges for a stock casting.

Jeff,
The cam is from Cam Motion. The last contact info I had on them was:

Cam Motion
292 Dallas Dr.
Baton Rouge, LA 70806
(225) 926-6110

The grind is # X2221-2271-13

This cam was developed for Tommy Morrison for the Corvette Challenge Series. It is just slightly more aggressive than the ZZ-X cam.

The cam specs are:

225/229@ .50 w/.555"/.556" lift w/1.6 RR's.
Lobe separation is 113 deg. and the lobe centers are at 109 deg.

Vic:
NO additional numbers yet. Like I said, I've only had it to the strip once. I'm putting everything back together, and I'm investing in some MT's or DR's to get some traction of the line. We'll see what I can get with some traction. I'm sure I'll just barely dip into the 11's with this setup, but only time will tell.

There is a guy that used to be on here that went by Hutch. He had a Grand Sport with a More topend package that included CNC ported heads and a Comp cam with the same duraiton figures. He is a real nice guy and I'm sure he will tell you his feelings on that cam. If I remember right he ended up putting in a bigger one.
Hutch did updrade from the Comp Cam 212/224 to a Crane 222/230. At the same time he installed 30lb injectors, long tubes and random cats. His before and after dyno numbers were almost identical. So, running a larger cam on his GS gained no horsepower.

I have the MORE 350 package, and like Hutch's Grand Sport, it came with the CNC heads and Comp Cam 210/224 cam. This cam has lift numbers of .534/.531 w/1.6 Roller Rockers, I believe. This based on .501/.499 lift numbers w/1.5 RR's. I originally went with this cam because I wanted something streetable, as well as for Road Race and Autocross use.

Since moving to Florida last March, I managed to get it to the track and had the good fortune of running against Hutch's GS (we're in the same club). With his 4.10 gears, line-loc and DR's, he would always have me by a car or two out of the hole, but I would always run him down before the finish line (on my street tires). I'm not sure why his car never made more power, but I believe he picked up about 12 hp when he added the new cam, hi-flow cats and FL headers.

I was wondering if others here thought I might be better off with a bigger cam and if so, how large would you go? I would still like it to be somewhat streetable, but I am willing to give up a little streetability for more power. Here is a partial list of my current mods:

LT1 CNC Ported Heads
2" and 1.57" severe duty Stainless Steel Valves w/Titanium Retainers
Comp Cams Double Valve Springs
Comp Cams Pro Magnum Roller Rockers (1.6)
Comp Cams Pro Magnum Hydraulic Roller Lifters
Comp Cams Custom Cam 210/224-112
Comp Cams Guide Plate and 7/16 Studs
Hardened Race Pushrods
Custom Chip by Ed Wright
TPIS 1.75" Full Length Headers
3" B&B Tri-Flow Exhaust
3" Dr Gas X-Pipe replacing the Tri-Flow Resonator
Breathless Vortex Air Intake
Be-Cool Aluminum Radiator
MSD Ignition and Coil

And here is a shot of my last dyno pull...

I would appreciate any and all input...

Mike

Edit: Decided to start my own post...
