Default Unknown bolt thingy

Does anyone know what this is or where it goes on a c4 engine. I'm finishing up a head job on my 1988 Corvette that I started 2 years ago and this is left over. Thanks

L/Side runner to plenum, top bolt in the middle. You should have a plastic 2 cable holder that will slide over the pointed end.

I see that you recently joined us here at the Corvette Forum! Welcome!
This is the greatest site in the world if you have a Corvette. There is so much experience here that you will get answers and they are very accurate.

I have to admit though I have the same bolt sticking out of my plenum and wondered why it was shaped like it is.

Having a Corvette is a great pastime but there are a couple things that you might consider acquiring before long.
1. Factory Service Manual set for your particular year. I too have a 1988 C4 and the FSM's are a two book set for our year Corvette. They are available in print or by some folks on DVD.
2. Good Volt Ohm meter
3. Fuel pressure Testing gauge and hose
4. There are OBD1 Code readers that can do limited stuff. The best option is something like an older Scanner. I bought one from another Forum Member and it is a Snap On MT2500 that was less than $300 and with it you can see everything going on inside your OBD1 system. It is wonderful and I am still learning how it helps me.
5. Take a moment and fill out the "profile" part of this forum, this way we can find out what year and model Corvette you are talking about. It helps us not to have to ask questions every time you post a question.

I hope that this site helps you as much as it can. It is the only place you can get good help without paying for it!
