Is anybody running a big throttle body? I am using an LS style tb made by Fitech and my stock pleated one will not stretch far enough to suit me. I had to split mine in as far as the first part of the "accordion" and then seal it with RTV. This not what I want to have on my engine. The aftermarket smooth ones are good for 4 inches, my tb is right at 5. I don't want to spend 50 bucks on something I cant make work.If anyone has a suggestion I sure would like to hear it.
I'm using a silicone coupler as part of my diy intake, that's probably what I would use in your case.
How's you swap to an LS TB?
It is a fantastic setup. I have the Edelbrock Pro Flo XT and it is made to use the LS throttle body. I bought a Summit brand first and it was just okay. Then I saw the G-Plus tb and liked the features it had so I got one. I have had tps and iac issues ever since I put the Pro Flo on. I decided I had had enough with the cheap throttle bodies, the G-Plus was a mess. I bought a Fitech 102mm and the car has never performed like it does now. The iac is controlling the idle perfectly and the tps is easily made to be adjustable so it is keeping it's setting too. I can't say enough about the Fitech. I even have the air coupler problem solved and I will be starting a new thread with pictures on what I did, and it was for under $10.
