Default Factory Fill

What did the factory put in our cars prior to Mobil 1 becoming factory fill in 1993?

91 ZR-1 was the same as 90, I changed my 91 to 10W40 M1 at 8K miles and never looked back.

I was more referring to what brand rather than what weight what used. So pretty much just AC Delco dino oil.

Beginning with the 1992 LT1 engine, the Assembly Plant used Mobil-1 5W-30 full synthetic oil. A Mobil-1 label was also affixed to the underside of the hood just above the air filter. I don't check much of anything in the C8 section, so does the C8 engine use Mobil-1 full synthetic??

For whatever reason the LT5 engine in the early ZR-(1990 thru 1995)1 did not get a full synthetic oil. I think the oil viscosity was 10W-30.

Right out of the owners Manuel, I would refer to the appropriate year for your Corvette. As long as the oil meets the manufacture standards it should be just fine.
