Default AC Problem

It seems my AC computer is on the fritz. Now it will not remember any of the settings when I shut it off, and it always comes on whenever I start the car, even if I turned it off before shutting down. When it does come on, it always goes to 0 fan speed, and 75 degrees, so you cant even tell its going sometimes.

I have no clue how to fix it, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

I assume you have a C68 system. You need to check the codes. To do this, manually set the A/C for the settings you want (you must adjust the temp, mode and fan when this situation exists) then drive as normal. When one of the lights begin to flash hold the up and down fan arrows at the same time and watch the LCD screen until "-00" appears then press the "Auto" fan button. Note and record the codes that will flash. There should be one or more ranging from "01" to "10" and get back with me. My guess is that it will be "01" or "02"

Happy Turkeyday neighbor!

Micco is north of Vero Beach and South of Melbourne...nice and quiet...and we like it that way.

You won't see any codes on your dash for the AC. In fact you won't see any codes for the AC unless you pull them. Look at the link in the other response, do the procedure I described and let me know what AC codes you get.

A belated happy turkeyday.
