How much water/antifreeze goes into our cars? (i have a 95).

Also, what is the ratio of antifreeze to water?

Depends on how much of the old you get out!

Somewhere around 1.5 to 2 gallons

Regular anitfreeze is 50/50 mix, suggest you use distilled water.

Don't know anything about Dexcool if that's what you are using

Happy Thanksgiving

I think your car is probably supposed to use the orange Dexcool stuff. I don't know what ratio to use for that. Don't you have a service manual? My cooling system holds 14 quarts (4 quarts to a gallon) and I mix it 50/50.

You have a 95 so the stock fill is regular green AF.

You want a mix of 50/50, but you can run 40 AF / 60 distilled H20 if you haven't replaced any major components and the AF has been flushed on a regular 2 year interval.

The proceedure is in the shop manual. Recommend several fills with clean water (distilled prefered IMO) and drains. Then top with pure AF. Mixture concentration is best determined with a tester, and topped with pure AF to make 50/50 or your target concentration.

I alrready planned on filling it up with water and "rinsing" it a few times to get the junk out. I'm assuming this is the first time its been changed in this car.
