Thanks again. My mechanic has my FSM. It's kinda driving me nuts. Because I like to look up and check things. But, frankly he is doing a very good job. The car is running better. Take care. I'm going to post a video when I get it on the road. TTFN

I think. And I'm not 100% on this. Forcing the ecm into diagnostic mode can potentially force base timing at a higher rpm... i know some 84s don't have the esc connector and possibly some 85s too. Perhaps the jumper allows for setting timing another way. Diagnostic mode on mine did some weird things with the stock ecm...

After timing changes Afr will change and a gauge like this will make short work of it when correcting.
