Has anyone put one on an LT1 in a C4? I know some of the kits come with a conversion kit as part of the install. I am curious would there be enough clearance with the stock hood on the C4. Thanks

Are you referring to the new LT-4 supercharger?
The ones for the LT1/LT4 in the C4s were the same kit. Most run centrifugal units.
Procharger... that is my car. What you see is the basic bones kit. I am collecting parts for something much more interesting.
That is awesome. How much labor was involved? Did you install yourself or what?
I reached out to a local Vette shop and they said putting a SC on a stock LT1 isnt worth it because of how much other stuff I would have to replace in the engine after installing a SC. However, I have been reading that the stock LT1 can handle a stage 1 SC.

I bought this one with it installed. I have installed a kit before and it is labor intensive. It depends on what way you go too. There are complete kits ready to bolt on and then there are tuner kits if you want to address the fuel system on your own. You will need a tune. The nice thing about Procharger is self contained lubrication.
I am running all factory components at 8PSI. The kit had a booster pump with an Fuel Management Unit. The shop you talked to doesn't know LT1's. Talk to someone else!

Nice! I bet it surprises alot of guys on the street.
I am sure it would, but I haven't had the opportunity to get a street race in a "safe" manner. I won't just open it up anywhere.
I am actually going to build it into a lot more. I already have my AFR210 LE Ported heads, Rockers, and port matched LT4 Intake. Going to be getting my Lloyd Elliott cam soon to match. Then all the other supporting parts. Aiming at 500WHP on stock bottom end or get an excuse to go 383.- Project "Not your Dad's Corvette"
At any rate, the shop mentioned above has no clue about the LT1/LT4. If done right with a tune, they will take boost just fine.

yes. I found another guy that knows a good bit of knowledge on superchargers and he said the same thing. 8PSI with a tune on a stock LT1 would be fine
