compression check with headers
Engines leaking oil so bad now it's not running right.
I want to do a compression check before I just replace the gaskets.
Tried it before, I had trouble getting the tool in there last time, don't trust the readings.
I picked up an SLP spark plug socket.
Any other hints?
Especially about getting the hose connected.

I use the Craftsman engine compression test with a hose. I take the shrader valve out and spin the hose into the spark plug hole. I have DRM 1 3/4 inch headers on my LT1
Here is a link with a good picture. Take shrader out, and turn engine over a few times to get your number.
