89 vett electrical

Ok guys my running/parking lights will not work keeps blowing the fuse. So if got a short some where. If there anyway I can test the wires to help track down the short.

There's a good chance it's a bulb shorted internally. I know it's a PITA, but I'd start by removing all the bulbs and see if the problem persists.

Well my break lights work, my turn signals and hazards work.

Those use different filaments inside the bulbs. I would still pull them, but that's me.

Short circuits can be frustrating to chase down. You want the power on, but that blows the fuse before you can learn anything!

Here's my little trick: Use a headlight bulb wired to a burned out fuse. With this gadget plugged into the offending fuse location, the light will shine when you have a short, but nothing will smoke! You can disconnect things on that circuit until the light goes out.
