Do the switches in the center of the dash take a 161 bulb? I have one out and it looks like a 194 but service manual seems to indicate a 161. Going to replace both bulbs while I have it out and want to get the right ones.
I used 194 bulbs. They are the same socket as the 161 but are slightly brighter. Since I went with LED I wasn't concerned with the wattage increase that would come from going from a 161 to a 194 (about 1 more watt). The LED 194's that I used were 1.5W where an incandescent 161 bulb is about 3W.

Got that bulb fixed, and have one bulb out in the lower right of my instrument cluster. I understand that GM used a Stanley 7073 bulb in the '89's, and that Batee makes Xenon replacements. A 7073 is what came out, and I was able to remove from the front pretty easily. I would really prefer a 7073 back in it's place, but from what I can see, they are pretty hard to find. I am a Nissan parts manager, so I have a few connections, but no luck so far. Does anyone on here have a source for these, or will I have to use the Batee kit?
