Default Quick Connect Fuel Lines

Hello,

1996 LT4 quick connect fuel line o rings. I went to replace mine because they have been siting for years and when I slipped them on they were loose on the fuel rail connections.

I went to GM and using part numbers from earlier thread searches and what their schematic shows the ones they sold me are smaller than what came out. Their schematic shows they are both one size as well and they are clearly NOT. I went by Autozone and got an assortment of Vitcon rings and will find matches there. Are there two o rings per line or one? It might look like there is an O ring then a spacer then another O ring?

Thank you
Doug

might wNna check with wvzr-1 - he is super helpful and can sometimes supply part numbers (that you can look and see if you can find it NOS or find a replacement)

I've 'never' tried these to do what you want. Do you actually have a leak? Maybe a Dorman 800-013 for seals and 800-016 for clips. I've never tried to reseal a GM Bundy style coupling. I've fabricated fuel lines using after-market Bundy connectors and nylon fuel lines before on light GM trucks.

I did use the vitcon rings from Dorman assorted pack. Last night started the car they worked great no leaks.

It is a new sending unit pump and tank and the gauge on the dash reads empty and no miles. I dont know why that is... another bug to hunt down.

If gauge reading "empty" sounds like the float is stuck in the "down" position, or defective.
Did you check resistance through range before installing?
