Your connector for the LCD is failing at a solder joint or at the wire harness.

I had Batee rebuild my 91 display not too long ago because it started to do what you are seeing now. Pulling display out of dash is fairly simple just read and watch Batee information. Worse part for me was the arthritis in my hands caused some issue during removal and re-install. Works beautiful now.

Btw, my Tach also wasn't working and Batee fixed that too.

You can push on the cluster (not bang) and just see if you are lucky enough it has wiggled out from the push in connector. Other wise, drop drivers side knee bolster, remove steering column shroud and bolts , drop the column down several inches, let it hang there or support it, remove the four phillips screws in the cluster bezel, slide the bezel out with all the room you now have, the cluster will have 4 7mm screws, remove, pull out the cluster.

Batee is an awesome asset to our Corvette Hobby. I strongly suggest people to use his services to keep him around for a while longer. He knows what he is talking about and does great quality work quickly. What more could you ask for?

He also sells bulbs that produce bright light in your dash without all the heat of the original bulbs. Anybody whose seen the inside of the digital dashboard will know what I am talking about.

I spoke with him once and he made the point about the life expectancy of the parts used in the original Digital Dashboards was 15 years and my dash was 32 years old....

I use BATEE.COM as often as I need to but recommend him every chance I get! The information he gives on is priceless when your dashboard isn't working. With a bit of work the Dash will last a while longer

I cleaned the electrical connectors with electrical cleaner and it did the trick!... But the tach is a little sticky...
