Default ignition module

I am upgrading my ignition system and will be getting a new ignition module.Should i get the stock one or something aftermarket?

the stock module will work fine with the low reving TPI motor.

Since you are going to change it anyway...I'd go with the dynamod unit....from MAD or Corvette Central....or any of the other suppliers...at least thats what I did...Can't hurt anything..forgot to add ...it's 7 pin.....

My idle seemed smoother after my DUI but I also put the stronger coil in and a few other things in at the same time so I can't really give you an answer that is anything more than speculation.

If you do wind up buying a DUI "Dyna mod" module I would buy it from Davis Ignitions direct for $49.95 instead of the $79.95 MAD sells it for...

It's on my xmas list but haven't desided.I see that holley and msd make them too.I will most likely call jeggs or summit and get what they have in stock
