Hi
Have a look at the link below, its for an ecm swap i know but has the speed sensor wiring diagram.
As long as you have put the CORRECT COLOR WIRES together it should work, however it goes to the dash and ecm..... did they short to ground???
Check your fuses, do you have the dash lighting up? then the inst fuse will be ok.
Do your switches work and display volts temp and oil pressure? then the cluster fuse is ok.
The LCD fuse is next check that, hopefully it blew a fuse not a chip in the dash.... or ecm.
Does your cruise control work? that uses speed pulse from the speed sensor as well from the dash cluster.
I keep spares for just this case, i have a spare ecm, dist module, maf, etc so i can quickly eliminate items.
