Default Engine swap electronics questions

Hi Guys,
I couldn't find any previous posts on this specific subject. That said I have to admit I seem to be lousy at searching so forgive me if I failed to find the obvious.

I have a '95 base model 6 spd. and I like hot rods. I'm thinking about pulling the LT1 and storing it in case the next owner wants numbers matching stock. If I do that I'll run an aftermarket induction system like the Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 system on the new engine. My questions are, what is involved in integrating the aftermarket with the existing systems? Can I keep the stock instrument panel? Will the ABS continue to work? Will I have to keep and modify the stock ECM to avoid error messages etc and run the aftermarket ECM for the engine only? Does the '95 have one ECM for engine only and another for everything else?

In other words I have no idea how to do this and need some smart person to hold my hand and lead me step by step.

Thanks in advance.
