Oil Pan Replacement on "84
Been fighting an oil pan leak - think the pan got bent during rebuild. They had a very slight clearance issue with stroked crank and tapped it out to fix - way past warranty so no recourse. New pan and gasket on the way. Question for anyone who has replaced their pan - I noticed the starter interferes with assembly slightly and read some folks actually notch the pan to fit. It's not much that requires trimming. Anyone do that? Know starter is ez to pull/replace during assembly but I also noticed it may be putting pressure on pan lip and causing distortion...??? Bought this guy as an FYI/open for comment... Spectra Premium Oil Pan - Like $44 after discount, Advance Atuo...
