1985 C4 with 85K Standard 350 with TPI. Barn find sat for 12 years. Got it running and took it out for a good drive. About an hour into the drive at varying speeds and roads, I had the engine almost die out. Feathered the throttle and finally got it to run. It did okay unless I tried to accelerate fast.It would bog down and once died out. 20 seconds later it cranked and ran okay if I babied it. Need help in diagnosing problem before I spend a lot of money.

Sounds like a clogged fuel filter, most likely got clogged up with the rust that accumulated in the fuel lines from sitting. While you have the filter off its also a super good idea to remove the feed hose from the fuel tank and blow it out with compressed air. Filter is located below the passenger side foot well, directly behind the wheel well.
Filter should be replaced either way, not that hard to do.
I would then drive around with a FP gauge connected to the rail and taped to the windshield. If the pressures arent holding then that points to another problem.
Then when youre back home, turn the engine off and watch that FP. If its not holding, likely injectors are stuck open.
..... Fill the tank and try it again ... when the fuel level drops much below a half tank the fuel can slosh out of the small sump in the bottom of the tank and briefly starve the engine .....
