Default 1989 corvette wiring

Hello everybody, I am a new Corvette owner and new to The forum. I have grown up around these wonderful automobiles my whole life and finally have my own, it was a barn find lived in by mice and I am trying to rescue it. Some of the wiring in the center console in behind the stereo and heat controls was all eaten, I have repaired most of it but have a thin gauge gray wire and a thick gauge gray wire with a connection and that I have not found a place for them to be. I think possibly the thin gray wire went into the one end of the connector, but the thick gray wire as you can see has been chewed off and I'm not sure where it is supposed to lead to.Any help would be great thanks.

This is the thin gray wire that I have crimped on a connection to but don't know where it leads.

This is the thick gray wire with the end to nowhere and I'm not sure where it is supposed to connect as well.
