Welcome to the Forum, Glen, and congratulations on your C4!
Lots of great members and helpful info in the C4 sections at https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-1984-1996-19/.
I would encourage you to post your question in the Tech section there.
In the meantime, here are a few possible helps:

If your intention is to bypass the VATS, the kits come with all the available resistors and you can try it 1 at a time until it works. There's also PROM tuning that can remove it. Ebay listing

This is the proper way to do it. However, if you are getting a PROM let me make this suggestion:
You may not wish to do you own tuning, but having a good data logging set up will help down the line with any issues you may have. So, I would suggest getting a ALDL to USB cable - Available at MOATES.NET, Download Tuner Pro RT, and get the files to start scanning your car. There are a few guys, but one I know best, who can do a tune based off data logs to improve the overall performance. He would send you a basic tune with VATS disabled on a chip. Then you would send him scans and do a chip exchange. In the end you will be set up with no VATS, a better tune/running car, and have a way to read and log data.
