w/Kyle...Id go as high as 24-2600 which will still feel stock til you nail it.
These cars are best from a standing start til about 40, after that welll...so make the most of it. That and headers as said will change things up some.
Have the 2.73, little over half and full throttle from 2nd gear on feels the same why bother lol

LT1s like to rev a 3.73 works well. It doesn't depend on environment you drive in. In the mountains and in town definitely a plus. In areas where the speed limit seems to be in the 80s engine rpms might be considered on the high side by todays standards. Back before overdrive became common turning 2500-3500 rpm on the highway driving cross country wasn't terribly uncommon. Of course, back then muscle cars getting 14 mpg was outstanding.

LT1 needs the gearing and TC change. I'd do 3.54 or 3.73 depending on how much highway use I give it.

And a 2400 stall TC.

I think there must be a misunderstanding(maybe he misheard me), but Lloyd Elliott with his LE2 package and my 3.07 gears recommended 3200 TC. I've recently decided I'd like to do the D44 conversion with 3.45 gears. Thats why I was curious, he had mentioned 'lugging' with the 3.07s

D44 with 3.45 would also be good. 3.54/3.73 are for the D36.

3200 is what I'd tell you to go with if you were racing it more. If its a streetable car that you drive around a lot, you probably won't like it above 2400. I hated it over that level.

3200 would have a similar net effect to the gear change without the big hit to MPG, but I don't think most folks would like to drive that around often.

I would say start your own thread, introduce yourself and tell us in detail the build of your Vette, (year, 383 , camshaft compression, manifold, work done to enhance manifold, headers, etc etc etc)
