The VATS module had gone bad in my 86 C-4. I have found several used ones but I can't find how to tell what key resistor they take? Is there any way to tell what key they take by the numbers on the module? Mu module is #16039969 8546 and takes a #6 Key (1470 ohm). Does anyone have a module and know what key it uses? Any help is certainty appreciated.

As a suggestion, you could either get your ECM flashed which would remove VATS or buy and install a VATS bypass. I installed a bypass (it removes the VATS module completely) and haven't had a problem since.

Your 16039969 I'd expect to be same/similar (most likely) to what's discussed in this thread.
