Default 95 LT1 PCM tuning

I'm looking for recommendations for a shop that can tune the PCM in my 95' Corvette. I do not want to do it myself, I don't want to remove it and ship it. I'd just like to find a good shop I can take my car to and get it done. Needs to be in the Fairfield County CT area.

It's really too bad; the cost of at least the flashing part is only $50 (the cost of a cable). This is because the 94-95 Corvette has flash-reprogrammable PCM. No chips or removing stuff needed, just a computer and a cable and you can change anything you want.

Of course you still have the tuning issue. And since you don't want to do anything yourself and don't want to ship the computer, that really will restrict your choices. Hopefully someone in Fairfield County can help you out. Do you have any local automotive groups, say non-Corvette-specific that you could ask? Tuning one of our cars isn't terribly different from many other similar vehicles, so as long as there's a competent tuner, they should be able to quickly pick up how to handle our cars.

Best of luck to you!

I’m in CT too, though in Hartford county. I did some searching and it seemed to be LS or bust for tuning options. I went with a mail order tune from pcmforless. They emailed me the bin, I flashed it myself using the cable mentioned in the prior post. There are software choices, I’ve used TunerCat dozens of times without issue. I do make some “tuning” changes myself. Such as fan temps, correction for rear gear, Idle speed, etc. I left fueling and spark to the pros at pcmforless, Keith nailed it on my heads/cam combo and I make small tweaks here and there to my liking.

Are there no longer any Corvette Clubs in CT that you could ask for a reference to a good tuner shop? (I grew up in E-HTFD many years ago)

I checked on the ImpalaSS forum (lots of LT1's over there). I found a post for https://pcmperformance.com/ that is in Briarwood, NY.

You might also check around on a forum for fourth gen Camaro's...they had LT1's.

Default 2 year old thread but ☝️, I got a guy .

I understand the OP has strict no mail in or email bin tunes . This is to breath new life into this thread for anyone looking for a genius tuner for our cars . I have a 95 car , Chad Golen 396 stroker 540ish/ 499 t dyno’d Performa built 700rwhp Dyno tested and guaranteed race 4l60e transmission. Dana 44 with 3.07’s ( for now ) and a 200 shot of nitrous .
That being outlined , Solomon owner and tune genius of http://www.lt1pcmtuning.com/ is the guy for our cars . Solomon owns a F-body hot rod Camaro and can get everything your platform has in it to its peak . His website is very educational . He is an Honest Christian man . That knows our pcm’s inside and out . He is way less then the others . He has a car information process , unique to your car . He offers a performance bin tune via Email that is nuts on ! You also receive 3 free tunes with your purchase $175.00 as of today . Solomon is a great communicator and one heck of a tuner . I use him exclusively. I have a lot of $$$$$ into my car as you all do . He is the man . I did not receive anything for this review . He is the best bin tuner out there . He is also my friend through a long working relationship.
you will require a windows 7 at least capable laptop , a $59 dollar ALDL cord and to download a free tuner app our friend Steve o wrote . It has a flash program also EEFlash and a tuneable EEhacks data logger as well as it being 100% user ready to tune .
This process is simple if you take a breath and just follow the simple directions . I hope this helps a lot of guys that are new to tuning our pcm’s and guys who have a handle on it .
My car has made great gains and is a monster at the knowledgeable hands of Solomon . Check it out http://www.lt1pcmtuning.com/
GOD bless ,
Robert
