Default manual headlamp switch

anybody installed a manual headlamp switch that allows you to keep your headlamps up when you turn out the lights? I know that I can just unplug the motors, but I don't want to fool with that each time it snows or is clear weather. I like them to be down all the time, but if it snows and ice gets on them I would just prefer to leave them up so I don't burn out any motors.

I am sure it can be done. but you would need a schematic to find the circuit to bypass...

and integrate with.

On my '88 there's a White wire from the Light Switch that triggers the control unit to close the headlights.

A SPST switch in line with this wire it should prevent closure when that switch is open; normal operation when the switch is closed.

Check behind your Headlight switch for that White wire; if so you likely have similar wiring. It goes to a connector, C100, but I can't find a detail on it's location. BTW, it looks like there is a Yellow wire from the headlight switch going to the same connector.
