Default Diff Experts advice please
Can you replace bearings in the diff without removing it from the car?
I have a noisy bearing.
1988 Targa auto, standard Dana 36

Not in any kind of practical way. Once you take the diff cover off, the thing will want to fall out of the car.

Once the thing falls out of the car, is it possible to replace bearings?
Sorry for a dumb question but I don't know much about diffs.

Yes but you have to take it all the way out. You probably need to take it to a shop.
