I am going to change my brake fluid this off season. I was visiting with the last owner who changed it last and he told me that he used
ATE Super Blue Fluid. I have found out that this is no longer available. What brand would you recommend and DOT 3 or 4 ?
Cruising only, No Auto Cross.
Thanks

ATE TYP200 is the same fluid, just doesn’t have the blue dye.
just like a lot of other things on the forum, you will find several different suggestions. I use Motul RBF in the race cars and my street cars including the truck. I buy it by the case to get the price down. I’ll typically go through a case a race season.

Should be fine with anything. DOT 3, 4 or 5.1. So if it is free, take it. If you have to pay for it, I wouldn't go more than DOT 3 if it is the cheapest.
I replaced the brake fluid in my 85 with DOT 5 silicone. You can't do this because this product is not compatible with ABS systems as it foams it. I could do it because the 85 is pre-ABS. Just a tip.

That is what I have read. Will probably use dot 3 or 4 . From what I have been told not a lot of difference between brands. If so please advise.
Thanks Hawkeye56
I would NOT unless it was cheap enough since the car probably won't need to have such a high boiling point.
One of the other benefits of better fluid is the Wet Boiling point. As most people here are not changing their brake fluid often enough. It isn't 'life" of the car fluid.

According to the chart, 30 degree difference. But for what you would pay for it ($12.99 for a 12 oz can) vs ($9.99 for a 32 oz can), I suppose it is pretty spendy insurance for the people who choose to believe it is a sealed system and therefore doesn't need to be flushed.
