Default Banski Pin Top Shock Mount

I am ready to order my Banski pin top shock mount but I am having some conflicting information. I measured the OD at the threaded area and it was 9.14 mm. But talking to Ride tech the OD increases to 1/2 inch at the point it goes into there bushings.
Has anyone with ride tech smooth body shocks used the Banski pin top system?
Thanks Hawkeye56

At this point it is time to pull the top bushing off and see for yourself what it actually measures.

Did some more research and spoke to Tom at Banski and he confirmed that 10mm would work. I will order a set tomorrow or Monday.
I must say that Tom was very helpful in making the right decision.

I am currently running the banski mounts and ridetech shocks. I had more of a challenge finding two nuts to lock the top of the front shock and fit under the adjustment ****. Tom at Banski was also very helpful when I had installation questions. Have fun. Go fast, be safe !

You could not use the two nuts that came with the shocks? What did you find that was not as thick? I had planned on using a nylalock nut.
But from what you posted there may not be enough room.

Tom Urban is a great example of amazing customer service in the aftermarket sector. He actually knows his products and the cars they are intended for, and takes the time to answer tech questions and explain the reason for his answers.

Hello Hawkeye. It's been a whole summer and I do not recall why I did not use the included nuts for the front shocks, might have been it did not appear to be quality hardware ?? Pic of where I ended up, not the cleanest solution but it's holding tight. Used a flanged hex nut and nyloc nut with blue loctite on everything. Sorry I do not have better info - or memory.

Cheers. -Steve

Hi Steve

Thank you for the picture, I now have an idea of how much length there is to use.
Did you notice any difference on shock performance?
Thanks Hawkeye56

About a nut and a half of length
I replaced most of the suspension and new 18" tires (thank you Matthew Miller for direction) at one time I can't pinpoint any one component improvement. Then my clutch let go. Good times !!
