Default C4 TPI Bolts

I just recently picked up a 1990 C4 L98 Vette, clean car, 65k miles, the previous owner took the motor apart due to a dry rotted head gaskets I’ve got it all back together except TPI system, some bolts for the system, are missing; can I use a standard bolt from a part store in replacement of the missing hardware, or does it need to be a specific product??
thanks In advance

Hi the intake runners use metric bolts M8 1.2 x 30mm long, there is nothing stopping you using normal hex bolts however some lower ones don't have much room for a socket.
maybe Allen key type bolts will look better?

You may be able to get a set of second hand intake runner bolts on ebay? Or a car wrecking yard.
Good luck

Oh tip ... before bolting the intake runners up, test the fuel pressure make sure none are leaking.
the o rings can easily leak.
simple to rectify when the fuel rail is bolted in place, without intake runners bolted together.

For runners, plenum and intake I prefer OEM style bolts.

You might see if a good local hardware shop can custom order the bolts needed, though e-bay or used parts vendor would be a quicker path.

There are fastener companies out there you can get the bolts from. Best I remember on the intake manifold bolts is there were two different sizes (length) used. Hoefully you have all to reference.

Good Luck

Smaller the head of the bolt the better...I found an adapter to 1.4" and a lfex extension makes starting some of them easier.
NEver liked the factory ones but under the runners theres hardly any room.

Try picking up a set of Allen Head bolts.
They look cleaner, and with a ball end driver it makes installation and removal a lot easier.
