Storage additives?
I have replaced every diaphragm and rubber component I can get to. We also have had to replace a Fuel Supply Line on my 1988 Corvette. It sat for a while and the car's fuel lines was getting smaller and smaller inside as the water rusted it's way through the Steel High Pressure Fuel Line. The pressure was there there and okay but there was insufficient VOLUME of gasoline due to rust blockage that started inside the line at the lowest spot in the system.
After replacing the fuel Supply Line and a couple brake lines I have it somewhat under control. The ONE thing I do is use the Lucas Brand of Ethanol Treatment. I put a whole can in each Corvette and I keep the tank full up to the top all the time while it sits through the winter. Anything that is going to sit for three months or longer should get it added to it.
I do not believe, support or purchase Snake Oils and this is clearly NOT one of them. Keeping the tank full minimizes the amount of condensation that will occur inside the fuel tank. They taught us to never leave any fuel tank empty due to the risk of condensation forming and you have water in your fuel. That is a lot more exciting at 10,000'!
I DO Use Ethanol Treatments to minimize the fuel turning bad over a few months. Especially in my Lawn equipment.....
