Transgo Kit Installed --> Help! 1-2 Problem

Transgo Kit Installed --> Help! 1-2 Problem
Put in a Transgo Shift Kit in yesterday and have the car back on the road. However, I’ve got some problems now:
1) 1-2 shift is now softer than before??!! I put in two washers. :mad :cry
2) 2-1 manual downshift isn’t working under no throttle or braking??!! :mad
3) No 4-3 kick down above 55 MPH at WOT (Designed that way?) :confused:
Everything else seems really good. 2-3, 3-4 shift fast and firm. At the end, I had two left over ball bearings left that came from inside the tranny: On regular and one large! No where in the instruction did I see mention of there being a bigger ball!
Please help me on this one :(

-Auto Shift
-I didn’t install the new 3-4 spring. Should I have??

Yep...thats one reason I haven't tried to install one yet...although it is in the future mod for my '84.....need all I can get.

I would double check to make sure you have enough oil (check in Park with tranny warmed up) as maybe you have had some air pockets work themselves out.

I played around with the car last night and set the TV cable as tight as it will go before ratcheting back. Checked oil add it is jst above the full line. I've still go the same problems, but I can refine them a little further:
1) 1-2 shift is still softer than I think it should be.
2) 2-1 manual downshift is very slow (1-3 sec) when under no throttle or braking??!!
3) Can't get locked into OD below 50-55MPH (3-4 shift)
4) No 4-3 kick down above 55 MPH at WOT (Designed that way?)
