I recently noticed my vette seemed to be trying to dart back and forth so I took it in for some allignment work and the mechanic said the rear control arm bushings were worn out. Can anyone source a supplier name and part # for these bushings for me ?? thanks in advance
Re: need source for rear control arm bushings (VETTEMANIAC)

Re: need source for rear control arm bushings (greg84)
Is replacing the rear bushings a one weekend job for someone with suspension experience? I have rebuilt the front and rear on my '74 Corvette, but it wasn't a driver so I really took my time.
I'd like to replace the bushings on the '96 but don't want to take it off the road for an extended period of time.
Thanks,
Jeff
Re: need source for rear control arm bushings (no_radio)
If you're only doing the bushings, a weekend should be plenty of time. I used energy suspension poly all around and really appreciate the difference it made.
You'll have to drill out the upper and lower spindle control rod bushings and those will be the hardest to replace.
Re: need source for rear control arm bushings (Vette92)
OK, I'm going to order the heavy duty toe-rods, poly-adjustable camber rods, and urethane bushings. What's the best method for removing the rear bushings? Drill out the old ones, right, and then does the remaining material peel out pretty easily?
I am planning to do this job this weekend...
Thanks,
Jeff
