There is ony two, the standard, and the Z51. If you have the Z51, you have the sport rack.

You can tell by how many trips to the chiropracter you had to make after driving the car. :D No...really, the Z51 option will be listed on the bottom of the center console cover, if you car is equiped with it.

It is not a bad idea to install a Z51 rack in a non-Z51 car, it has a much quicker turning ratio for better steering response.

I beleive its 2 turns from lock to lock for Heavyduty (Z51), 2.5-3 turns for standard. Your build sheet under the center arm rest should say as well.

yep, I changed mine from standard to z51 a couple months back ('84), and I love the difference. Others seem to think they are "twitchy", but I love the responsiveness. There are a few things that make the job easier, if you're doing it yourself. E-mail me and I'll try to give you some details left off of the tech article.

Yup, direct replacement. Just make sure you get the right year. 88 they changed the R&P's width, not interchangeable with 87-

As a note... if they think 2 is twitchy what would they consider 1 turn lock to lock? :D ;)
