LT1 Oil Pressure Issues
I am posting this for a fellow vette friend as he is "computer challenged". The car is a 94 LT1, with few bolt on mods, and 120,000+ miles. He is experiencing inconsistent oil pressure readings. They are never too low, but he says it sometimes pegs the gauge and stay there, especially cruising on the highway. Usually, at a stop light it will drop back down to a normal reading only to reach the peg again later.
Is this a bad sensor somewhere, bad gauge, or oil sending unit? Something else? TIA.

Like you did not mention the actual oil pressure readings.......what is it cold???
then what is it at full operating temp.?????
What is the water temp.?????
Then maybe we can see what is going on????
