Default AFR Heads...Chambers too large

AFR heads have nice flow numbers, but the chambers are 10 cc's larger than my stock ones. To mill off 10 cc's would change too many angles and lead to much machine shop cost. What about having my stock '86 aluminum heads ported? They are not D port type. How about the Edelbrock 58cc Vette heads?Any sites with comparative flow numbers: Ported stock vs aftermarket?

Thanks

Several people on here have ported their heads, but your intake is the bottleneck of the airflow process. Explain what it is exactly you are wanting from your motor and there are several knowledgable people on here that can help you get there.

I intend to install an accel manifold and hi flow runners with my plenum which I will port myself. I want torque. Will also change cam for one with a bit more lift and duration but not enough duration to hurt bottom end.
