I’m trying to figure out how ti disarm the security system on a 1986 C4? I already did the vats bypass and it works great but now ever time I lock the car and when I go back to open it the alarm sounds off does not mater what door I use. I tried taking the antitheft fuse out and it worked but then I lost my horn altogether. Anyone got any ideas on what to do?

Tried this procedure when my 84 vette began honking the horn continuously and would not start (I disconnected the horn to stop it until I found this procedure). It seemed to work, however it was about an hour between the time the problem happened and when I was able to find this procedure and try it. Don't know if there is a time out on the anti-theft system. Does anyone know if there is a time based reset on the anti-theft system?

Bought an 84, the old anti-theft system has caused nothing but problems. I found two fuses that I pulled off wires that go to the positive terminal of the battery. Does that disconnect the system or are there other steps?
