Default LT1 383 push rod recommendations

Hi All

I am gathering up a few parts to do a swap out on the 1.5:1 rocker arms to 1.6:1 Crane Gold.

I will grab a new set of Crane 99846 springs, which is the same as what is in there now.

The cam is a Crane 104241.

I do not know what push rods are in there, it seems that is the part of the puzzle no one knows the answer to yet. All they can tell me is they used "CV Products 7200-3, 7.200 long", and i have never heard of any identified by that name.

Everything that is in there is the way the engine was built when the car was brand new back in very late 1992 (it is a 1993 model Callaway Supernatural 383)

I intend to throw a new set of valve stem seals in there too, does anyone know the brand and part number of the best ones to use that will fit correctly with the 99846 springs?

If indeed it has the push rods they suggest it should have had installed when new, is there any good reason to replace them? If so, with what?

I don't really care too much what they cost, so i would prefer top quality and light weight over a cheaper price, but obviously i won't be paying more than something is worth either.

Thanks all

There should be no reason to change them unless they are damaged.

CV Products is top quality. Their private label parts like pushrods are mfgrd by Trend or Xceldyne. Appears from the info given that your pushrods are 7.2" long.... which is stock length for a LTX.

CV stands for Clyde Vickers. He has been a parts supplier and parts surpluser to and for all of the NASCAR teams since the 1980s. They have a massive racing parts warhouse in NC near Charlotte. His son Brian has raced successfully all the way up to Cup. My family's race engine shop has done business with them since I was doing engine assembly lay out as a teenager (late 1980s) that I can remember. Back in the day you could literally buy anything for race cars from CV Products.... engine, suspension, body, safety ect. New or used, brand name or private label.

CV Products became part of Xceldyne (one of many high end companies who use to mfgr house branded parts for them) in 2018. It's a huge merger between holding companies I can't fully explain because I don't know all the players well enough to speak with authority.

Trend is a manufacturing company that mainly focuses on pushrods and wrist pins. They are one of the top 3 pushrod mfgring companies (Manton, Smith Bros, Trend) and their wrist pins are bar none the finest in the world. HQ and distribution center is in NC and the mfgring plant is in MI. We have bought from Trend since the early 1990s after taking with them at PRI one year.

All of these companies make the pushrods, valves, retainers, locks, cam belt drives, ect used on every NASCAR engine that runs.
