Default L98 intake question

Hi guys,

Ill be brief... My step son aquired a '91 L98 TPI and is in the process of rebuilding it from the ground up. I apologize for the vague question but he doesnt know which intake is best.

He is looking to do a mild cam, and do away with the fuel injection. This motor will not be in a Vette.

I just know you guys would have the answers, or point us in the right direction.

Thank you in advance,

Don

He wants to build something around 400-450hp street use only... nothing crazy RPMs

comp cam 12-600-4
head is promaxx 2171

Hes hoping the chevy perormance intake isnt his only option... (Vortec)

What does "(Vortec)" mean? The Promaxx 2171 head doesn't mention anything about being a "vortec" head.

I think most would likely recommend an Edelbrock Performer RPM Air Gap intake. That thing is a winner. I think it's a good match for your cam/RPM range and 185 head. Not sure he's going to get 400 NET hp out of a 350 with those parts, but it'll be a fun car, for sure.
