Default '84 wheel question

Will a 20mm offset work on my '84?
I'm interested in a 16x8 OR 17x9 MST Time Attack wheel
I believe the '84 factory wheel offset is 32mm.

Thanks all.

1984-1987 Corvettes:
16x8.5 with 32 mm offset. ( 76 mm outward and 140 mm inward )

16x9.5 with 38 mm offset. ( 83 mm outward and 159 mm inward )

16x8 with 20 mm offset ( 82 mm outward and 122 mm inward )
17x9 with 20 mm offset ( 94 mm outward and 134 mm inward )

OP I don't believe that wheel is even offered in a correct bolt-circle/pattern for the C4 - 5X4.75/5X120.65 I don't usually look but the 20mm seemed odd.

JoBy - I understood inward/outward mentioned BUT typical 'back-spacing' reference like you include on your web presentation is more usable I'd think. Your inward + outward only = advertised. There's NO rim edge taken into consideration.

The CF TOOL does a very good job of quick spec wheel offset comparisons. It isn't what I use for calculations but if you've 'known' specifications it does well. Just disregard the 'tire values'

I believe it 'auto loads' with just a sample

The eBay ad for it says it is 5x120

5x120 mm is not 5x4.75 inch. ( =120.65 mm )

It is probably ok if using those rims for looks. But I would not use them for racing or more demanding driving as it is not the correct pattern.

Default 84 Wheel aftermarket

I understand that it's 120.65 but why in the hell would somebody make a wheel that's 120???? So much damn confusion in trying to get an aftermarket wheel for my 84.
There are very few Wheels out there that I like and God knows I'm not going to spend 5K on a set of Fisk FM5s.
I either want the ESR SR02 or the MST Time Attack machined. 16 or 17" is fine with me. Any help with all of this is very much appreciated and I certainly appreciate the responses.

The 120mm wheels fit BMWs. It is close and some people will use either on their Corvettes and BMWs but as JoBy points out they are not suitable for performance driving. I would not take the chance.
