That would seem to defeat the purpose of buying a Borla system? If you just wanted elims, why dish out the dough for a Borla system?

Shouldn't be any problem doing that unless you don't want the car to be loud, they will pop a little but nothing major

Albeit an L98, my Elims were a direct bolt on to my rear Y-pipe

Hey Dino :seeya

My car has elims if you remember what it sounds like. I bought the ones that are the one piece welded design. I then made two cuts on the old system with a sawsall and bolted these things on. I don't know what the Borla system looks like, but if it resembles the stock system you should have no problems. After I bolted it all together I took it to a friend so he could weld it together. Now the only way that thing is going anywhere is when I get rid of it for a Corsa system. :yesnod:

Hey Dino
Only problem might be a size differance. The eleminators are for a stock 2 3/4" pipe. Are the Borlas the factory size pipes or are they 2 1/2 or 3" ? But you can just get a reducing coupling if they are differant.

My 95 had them on when I bought it. They are the welded deals from Mid America with the twin tips. I thought they sounded awsome but were to loud and buzzy at high speed, but after driving the car for awhile I have changed my mind. They are staying!

I cut my mufflers off right in front of them and just welded in a 8" or so piece between my cut and my chrome tips. The only time mine pops is when I'm idling and rev it up to 4500 and just let off it.

Yo DINO, you should have just called me, I could have answered that.

Before you do anything, let me know, I have a deal for you, it will only cost you lunch.

Don't fall for that, it will cost you more buying Frank lunch than driving to the plant that makes them

Only problem is loss of power. I went from eliminators to a custom system with a XR1 on my 89'. I gained 4hp and 10lbs of tq at the wheels. I did prefer the sound of the eliminators but I want the power.
