Hi PacerX

I just put on the Aeromotive Part # 13106 Adjustable fuel pressure regulator as part of my E85 fuel system build up this winter. Ive got about 500 miles on it.

$192.45 - from Summit Racing Equipment

I have a 93 corvette, but I am using a 1996 lt4 intake manifold and 94-96 fuel rails (they are different).
I put in bigger -8AN feed, -6AN return lines and twin fuel pumps (with second one coming on > 7 psi boost)

I have an in-cabin fuel pressure gage and found the fuel pressure regulator adjustment to work perfectly - allowing me to control the fuel pressure adjustment linearly with adjustment of its nut.

I *think* that part works with both style fuel rails (92-93 AND 94-96) but you may want to double-check. It included some extra parts for one or the other.
They also make a 13107 p/n - but I think that may be for Camaro LT1. Not sure . Dont quote me on that.

Yeah...

I looked at it and it seemed like a pretty trick piece...

That would never in a million years fit under my plenum!

It does? Oh crap. I've got one installed on the rail and ready to go back on the motor now. Is the stack height too high from the blue portion of the regulator body itself? Or the vacuum tube fitting?

Thanks - AJ

From my reading the forums, it seems the adjustment screw smacks the underside if the upper before you can adjust the thing to where you want it pressure-wise.

You could mock it up real quick and confirm before you finished bolting it all together.

Have you seen anyone just try to hacksaw a bit of that adjustment screw off to make it shorter? It is quite a bit longer than needed. Just curious; I think I'll give that a shot.

Nope.

No idea what folks are doing.

I would imagine a shorter screw might be possible but would then wonder if it has enough length to get the adjustment you need.

Please allow me to jump in and ask a quick question. Why does someone need or want an adjustable regulator. Thank You, Dan

It's a fair question. I have two reasons I went this way. 1) the OEM ones w fixed spring pressure on the FP diaphragm have been known to deteriorate / vary as to actual fuel pressure allowed, and B) it allows me to manipulate pressures in the future for upcoming changes in injector fuel flow rate, intake porting, head swaps, etc. I can dial in exactly what I would like for a given future modified tune or components.

Thank You, I plan to stay stock so I think my non-adjustable Regulator will work fine. Dan

I used an Aeromotive A1000 plumbed into the return side in conjunction with a block-off plate on the stock regulator. I ended up going with a slightly janky way of doing it that involved cutting the return line so that the -6 AN line fit nicely, but there are much nicer ways of doing it without cutting the lines. The regulator was mounted on the same bracket that held the top AIR solenoid.

I have this Holley one on my 85. https://www.holley.com/products/fuel.../parts/512-501 It clears everything just fine and has worked well, even with boost. If I recall correctly: it replaced a Jet adjustable that I wasn't too impressed by. The adjustment screw on the Jet was close to the plenum which made adjustment difficult. I replaced it after it started giving me problems with maintaining accurate pressure. I would set the base pressure, go out for a drive, and the base pressure would get as much as 5psi off. (Worse if I got into the boost.)
