ok guys here is the scenario i swaped out my 84 Cross Farting injection motor for a TPI out of an 87. All is going well, After completion I will be Writing a Swapers Guide, for the forum, as well as a ton of pics on the swap! including all the things I had to change over. look for this in the near future! now on to my problem-------I cannot figure out where the steel line coming out of the intake base just behind the EGR tube(that goes over the valve cover rear of engine passanger side covered with the silver heat wrap)is supposed to lead to. It has a rubber hose attached to it, approx. 6" long. Can you guys send me some pics of this routing problem?---- next problem since the manual i am working with has no explanation of vacume line routing can you guys send pics of where this vacume line routs to ( intake plenum, rear passenger side. there are two vacume connestions i need to see the rear most vacume conection routing please!!)----- NEXT PROBLEM-- the alternator wiring issue. i need to see where the alternator is wired into the car(the 84 alternator wires I.E. plug, was wired into the motor harness! this doesnt seem true since there is no plug on my harness that came with the motor and I also need to see how the power lead off the alternator is wired in!!
Thanks for all your help guys and keep up the good work!
It's been a long time since I was in the part of my engine bay, but I think it may be a heater/coolant line of some sort. On my '87, it went to a like sized steel line on the rear part of the right rear inner fender area. I remember the two steel tubes were connected by a rubber hose (1/4" I.D.-ish) Still need a pic?
yes all the pictures i can get will help not only me but also i will be compiling all the pictures i get into my swapers guide that I will be writting to this forum (with you permission to use the pictures you send me of course)
